TEXTBOOK AND OTHER MATERIALS

  • Required Textbook: Probability and Statistical Inference 10th Edition by Robert V. Hogg, Elliot A. Tanis, and Dale Zimmermann. Pub. Pearson.
  • Strongly Recommended Calculator: TI-83Plus or TI-84Plus graphing calculator. When calculators are allowed on exams, only TI-83, TI-83Plus, or TI-84Plus will be permitted.

COMPUTER SOFTWARE

MATLAB is installed in the PC computer labs in McKillop Library. Additionally, you may purchase the Student Edition of MATLAB to install on your Mac OS X, Linux, or Windows system. (You are not required to purchase MATLAB in this course.)
